SWA were invited to participate and lead Plymouth University students in a one day design strategy workshop for the redevelopment of Drakes Reservoir on North Hill. Ideas developed ranged from fishing lake and recreation facilities to full a scale hydrophonic testing ground. Much fun was had by all.
SWA was commissioned by the Church of Christ to produce a long term strategy for the future development of a Chapel in the Lake District. A large scale housing development plugging into an existing infrastructure.
This project proposed the introduction of a key link between Plymouths busy North Hill and the University Campus. The link took the form of a street to accommodate both a local dance school and social facilities for university students.
Demographically one of the most deprived areas in plymouth and the UK, Millbay has a high percentage of unemployed, unskilled and homeless within its population.
