  • Drakes Reservoir Workshop

    Alongside other Plymouth Architects SWA| were invited to take part in and lead Architecture and design students from across Devon in a one day design workshop.
    The workshop was aimed at developing low-budget proposals for the regeneration of Drakes Reservoir and park just of North Hill in Plymouth City.
    Local residents and interested parties were in attendance and a great day was had by all with lots of interesting design ideas.
  • Botany Cottage

    Plymouth practice SWA has recently gained an exciting commission to develop plans for an extension to this 18th century home.
    An extension carried out to the home by previous Architects sits to the East. Now SWA are to design a residential extension to the West side of the building.
  • Wall End Church

    Working with local community [space] workshops has been asked to prepare a strategy to refurbish and improve an existing Church in the Lake District National Park.
    Alongside the refurbishment a long term strategy document (shown right) is being developed that will allow the community to steer future developments in response to shifting needs and requirements.
  • Yewbarrow Road

    The first phase extension and refurbishment of Yewbarrow Road is now complete.
    The next stage of work is due to begin later this year and includes a new garage, landscaping and additional work to extend the rear of the house.
    Planners have praised the project so far saying 'The Architect has designed a building that sits well with the surrounding context whilst clearly being a contemporary addition'.
